Innovation: People Make Change Happen (Seminar Room 5)

Are you working on new campaign ideas or the launch of a new campaign?  Perhaps you are tasked with keeping ongoing campaigns fresh, or reaching new audiences? Maybe you are a fundraiser, raising money for core funds, front line projects or campaigning work?

Do you have to work across multiple teams, with different stakeholders and audiences?  Is working with different people with different perspectives and priorities sometimes challenging? Does this ever cause you sleepless nights?

If the answer to the last question is yes then do not miss ‘people make change happen workshop’.

We don’t campaign or fundraise because the current situation is OK. We do the jobs that we do because we are change makers. We can’t make change happen on our own. To be successful we have to work across and influence different internal teams and external stakeholders.

You can have the best campaign or fundraising idea, the most advanced tech, the most robust delivery plan, but if the people you need to make the change happen are not on board you will fail.

Learn how to get buy in, influence and get the best out of people so that your campaigns and fundraising make the biggest impact for the causes that you work for.

Main Takeaways:

  • An understanding of your own needs
  • An understanding of different audience needs
  • Tactics to get buy in for ideas and spur people to take action
  • Development of influencing skills
  • How to say no to bad ideas
  • An opportunity to work with the group on your current challenges that are keeping you awake at night.
